Federal Sales Executive

Decision Lens is seeking an experienced Sales Professional to join as a key member of the sales team, leading new customer growth. The primary responsibilities of the Sales Professional are to pursue and close enterprise-class or business unit-level opportunities within the federal market.  We are looking for candidates with a proven track record of building new customer relationships, managing complex procurement processes, securing six and seven figure deals, and achieving 100%+ quota targets.  This position often works independently but also has the support of the existing sales assets, the executive team and channel partners. 

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ability to articulate an innovative value-proposition in a clear and concise manner, understand customer needs, and provide leadership as to how the solution delivers to their needs
  • Manage a complex sales cycles with multiple stakeholders
  • Consistently and accurately forecast monthly and quarterly bookings
  • Provide functional overview demonstrations that highlight to the customer the solution’s value proposition
  • Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new accounts
  • Demonstrate success in selling in both an individual and team selling environments
  • Understand the potential clients’ requirements and challenges
  • Stay abreast of clients’ drivers and current events affecting their organizations
  • Work closely with marketing and other sales assets
  • Travel is required

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a business related field preferred
  • Minimum seven years experience with complex/technical products and services, preferably in outside consultative style sales role
  • Enterprise software and/or software licensing experience
  • Experience calling on C-level executives
  • Experience selling in to the Federal Government (civilian agencies preferred) 
  • Understanding the buying decision making process in the target organizations
  • Proven track record meeting and exceeding annual quota year over year
  • Goal-oriented and incentive driven with a history of achievement
  • Excellent presentation skills
  • Strong negotiation skills
