Darryl Garrett

Darryl Garrett is Founder and Chairman of TAG, LLC, an independent consulting firm that assists companies with strategic planning and business development within the national intelligence community. He is currently acting as a senior advisor to the IT Solutions Office at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA) and to two offices at the CIA. He also is a Vice President and partner at Reality Mobile, LLC. He covers the intelligence community as a member of IBM’s Strategic Business Relationships Team, consisting of a dozen retired senior flag officers from across the US and UK military. He serves as a Director on the Board of six technology companies in the US and Canada.

From 2001-2004 Darryl was a Senior Vice President at Photon Research Associates, which was acquired by Raytheon. From 2000-2001 he was a Technical Director for BAE SYSTEMS.

In March 2000 Mr. Garrett received the Career Intelligence Medal from the CIA for his innovative work with nontraditional industry partners. He retired early as a senior official from CIA as a SIS-05. From 1997 until his retirement he was one of ten members of the CIA’s Directorate of Science and Technology Board of Directors. From 1996-2000 he was the Director of the Technology Office of the National Imagery and Mapping Agency (NIMA), comprised of 325 government and contract staff responsible for its technology and research and development programs. He also concurrently served as the Chief Technology Officer for NIMA.

Mr. Garrett is a graduate of the National Security Program at Harvard and has a Masters of Science degree in industrial engineering from New Mexico State University. He graduated summa cum laude in mathematics and minor in physics from Texas Tech University.
