Office of Secretary of Defense, Joint Improvised Explosive Device Defeat Organization

February 23, 2009

Arlington, VA— JIEDDO has selected Decision Lens to drive their prioritization of investments that will counter the weapon of choice for insurgents and terrorists, the improvised explosive device (IED). JIEDDO will utilize Decision Lens within and across their three mission areas (disrupting the IED network, defeat the IED devices, and train the force on counter-IED measures) to select which solutions can be quickly deployed to save lives as well as protect the long-term strategic interests of the United States and our allies.

"It's well known that IEDs threaten the safety of US service members deployed abroad, accounting for about 70 percent of America's 4,000+ combat deaths in Iraq and Afghanistan and wounding more than 38,000 US soldiers operating in those areas," said John Saaty, CEO of Decision Lens. "I cannot think of a more relevant issue within the Department of Defense that Decision Lens could help make successful. We look forward to working with JIEDDO on this very important mission."

Decision Lens software is used throughout the federal government including organizations such as the Joint Staff, Department of Agriculture, Navy, Air Force, Nuclear Regulatory Commission and the Intelligence Community. Within the commercial market, Decision Lens has numerous well-known clients including Johnson and Johnson, Corporate Executive Board, and eBay among other organizations.
